In the venerable rooms of the former Augustinian monastery, the beginnings of which go back to the late 14th century, the Augustinermuseum Rattenberg shows a representative cross-section of the sacred art treasures of Tyrol.

The Augustinermuseum sees one of its main tasks as the rediscovery of lost or forgotten cultural and artistic assets. Valuable treasures, which often led to a Sleeping Beauty existence in church and Widum attics, have been carefully restored and made accessible to the public again.

The focus of the exhibition is on Gothic sculpture, gold and silversmith work, baroque art, and religious folk art from nine centuries.

The Mariathal Basilica is dedicated to Saint Dominic and, like the monastery of the same name, belongs to the Archdiocese of Salzburg. According to legend, knight Berthold von Fruntsprung wanted to go hunting with his brother, when he was fatally hit by an arrow.

Desperate, the knight wandered through the woods and finally discovered a picture of the painful Mother of God at the end of the valley, which is still venerated at this point in a chapel of grace. The Kramsach Sculpture Park is only a few minutes walks away from the Gasthaus Mariathal, which also functions as an exhibition venue.

Here the artist Alois Schild created an extraordinary place on the Brandenberger Ache. Surrounded by works of art, exhibitions and concerts are regularly held in the open air.

The Congress Centrum Alpbach is picturesquely situated on the slope, on the edge of the Tyrolean village of the same name in the Kufstein district, at the end of the Alpbach valley.

The design of the congress center with lots of glass and local wood interprets the traditional architecture of the village in a modern way.

Due to the location on the outskirts and the facility, which is partly built into the mountain, the historic center of Alpbach will not be changed.
