The Groeninge Museum is defined as “the city’s fine arts museum” which allows you to dive into Flemish art. The exhibition spans three sections, eleven rooms and more than six centuries.

A historic hospital founded in the 12th century, one of the most glorious health institutions, which has now become a museum. St. John’s Hospital remained in use until 1977 and was later turned into the Hans Memlingmuseum.

Several works by the artist Hans Memling are kept there. There is also an 18th century pharmacy. The hospital is also used as a conference and exhibition center.
