The bell tower was built from 1511 to 1571 and is the only remnant of the church to have withstood the fire of 1684.

The Church of Saint Martin contains remarkable recumbent effigies in Tournai stone (including a recumbent child) and an interesting altarpiece of Saint John the Baptist in polychrome wood of Antwerp origin (15th-16th century).
